Without the dedication and hard work of our volunteers, we could not possibly fulfill our mission or meet the recent high demand due to the COVID‐19 pandemic. Volunteering at the Corner Food Pantry is a simple way to give back to our community.

We are always looking for volunteers! If you are interested, please click on the VOLUNTEER link below and let us know how you would like to help. You can also call us at 860 435 9886. We have a range of volunteer opportunities. Please note, some of these activities require heavy lifting and bending.

• Pre‐pack shelf‐stable food for distribution, Friday 9am‐1pm

• Distribute food to clients, Friday 4:00‐5:30pm

• Distribute food to clients, Saturday 9‐10am

• Pick up/unload deliveries, and organize food donations (times vary)

• Provide administrative assistance such as mailing, data entry, filing

• Dispose of empty boxes at the Salisbury/Sharon Transfer Station

• Deliver food to home‐bound clients, Saturday 10am‐noon (dependent upon need)

The Corner Food Pantry is funded primarily through the generous donations of individuals in the surrounding communities. Local business, churches and foundations also support our work, and we so appreciate these donations. Donations to The Corner Food Pantry are tax deductible. We are grateful to our neighbors for their support.

Non-perishable food items may be dropped off on Fridays between 9:30 - 11:00 am. Parking is provided in St. Mary’s parking lot across Wells Hill Road. Donated items may also be left at LaBonne’s Market or local churches and banks.
